The
Campus de la Justicia Madrid is envisioned as a series of interconnected functions.
These functions brought together in a singular campus are efficiently woven
around courtyards, walkways and semi-covered plazas. The visual connectivity
and transparency of the design looks towards the future of Law & Justice
delivery. Transparency signifies honesty & the vast open plazas signify
democracy. The Justice Campus buildings are designed to be energy efficient
and will conform to new Euro norms. The louvres used in the semi-covered spaces
carry solar cells on thier top surface to trap energy used for daily upkeep
of the gardens & courtyards. The layers of Security exist at various stages
while entering the campus; the main access entry points, the building entry
and finally entry to all Courts & Offices. The underground plan incorporates
passageways that interconnect the various court houses and provide a secure
means of movement. The courtyards and plazas enable easy access while maintaing
visual connectivity. Materials : Recycled Steel and Glass are the two predominat
materials apart from zinc, aluminium & titanim panels. Green roofs are
used in all terraces / courtyards.
