the initial design was produced using animation software with the introduction of strategies for movement and program spaces. the resulting space was generated in MAYA and modelled for structuarl feasibility. since maya is a surface modelling software an STL fiile could not be generated and the maya file was converted to a IGES export and taken into FormZ, where it was converted to solids and its surfaces triangulated. the structure was checked for connections and saved as an STL file. This STL file is the input file for the 3D printer (Z-corp) which uses corn starch powder and a resin binder to 3d print the model.
